Dear Friends and Colleagues!

The clinical use of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance continues to expand rapidly across Europe and Europe leads the way in CMR research. The annual EuroCMR meeting, organised by the Working Group Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance of the European Society of Cardiology, is the leading European CMR meeting and offers a unique opportunity for scientific exchange between experts and newcomers to the field. The focus of the meeting is firmly clinical and it is aimed at clinicians interested or involved in the practice of CMR.

The meeting provides attendees with cutting-edge lectures covering the basic principles of CMR, an overview of the latest research in the field, expert lectures on advanced CMR methods and the opportunity to meet the leading experts in CMR. Following the resounding success of the 2010 EuroCMR meeting in Florence and the 2011 EuroCMR/SCMR joint sessions in Nice, the 2012 meeting has an ambitious agenda and will for the first time feature two full parallel tracks. Track 1 will provide lectures from world-leading CMR experts covering the latest clinical and research applications of CMR. Track 2 is a mixture of abstract, case review and ask the experts sessions. In the case sessions, experienced CMR users will take delegates through real-life examples of CMR practice. The format of these sessions will be interactive in order to maximise the educational value. Ask the expert sessions will allow attendees to learn from the world-leading experts in the field in a small and interactive environment. A live case session and social events will complement the program.

Following the meeting, the increasingly popular EuroCMR exam will be held. This year, the exam has been completely revised and will for the first time be fully computer-based. The number of delegates is therefore strictly limited on a first-com-first serve basis.
